For the past few weeks, I've added some new additions to my daily skincare routine, in the form of this eye and makeup remover and foaming facial cleanser by BRYT Skincare. I didn't know much about the brand before I'd tried the products, however I've since learnt that they pride themselves and their products on being not only cruelty free, but also all ingredients used are ethically sourced and in most cases, organic. In addition to this, all packaging is fully recyclable and the card used for the ultra colourful and eyecatching boxes is completely biodegradable. I love trying new products, and it's always a lovely feeling to know that what you are using will not only be kind to your skin, but also to the planet. Neither of these products, nor anything else from the range, contains sulphates, parabens or GM ingredients and are completely vegan.

I'm a simple kinda gal when it comes to my hair. I wash it every other day using any old shampoo and conditioner (usually whatever is on offer in Boots), then rough dry it, run the straighteners over the ends, and I'm good to go. I've never been particularly great at styling it either and tend to stick to a just couple of 'dos. Yep, I suppose you could say I'm quite lazy when it comes to my haircare habits, but I'm then the first to complain that my hair is lank and lifeless, or that it doesn't look like the amazing manes I see in magazines and on social media.
In a bid to mix it up a bit, step out my comfort zone and try something different, I've been using a new haircare system by American company Unwash. It challenges the traditional shampoo, condition, repeat routine that we have become so used to, by replacing it with one main product that acts as both a shampoo and conditioner, and then additional products to use alongside it when your hair needs a bit of extra love. It also claims to be kinder to hair than regular shampoo and conditioners as it doesn't contain any parabens, or strip the hair of its natural oils.

There's a new palette in my life, and I definitely love it a little bit. In fact, I'd go as far as saying I have been OBSESSED with it since I got it a few weeks ago- it's that good. The Pippa Palette was created by Blank Canvas Cosmetics, alongside Pippa O'Connor, one of Ireland's most successful fashion and beauty bloggers, and has been on my makeup wish list since it launched last year. The 9 shade eyeshadow and face palette reflects Pippa's love for natural, fresh, makeup, and each shade is named after someone special in Pippa's life which I think is such a lovely touch.

I say it every month but...how is it October already? It feels like this year has flown by, and each month seems to go by even quicker. Autumn for me means a lot more nights in (who wants to socialise when it's dark and cold outside anyway?) and in turn this means more pampering. There really is nothing better than lighting some candles, running a bath and trying out some new beauty products- in fact I think I probably spend more on products during the winter months. My favourites from September are a combination of skincare and makeup, most of which are new to me, and I adore them all so much that I wanted to share my thoughts with you all.

For the past month I've had a new skincare gadget in my life- the mirai face cleansing brush from The True Company, and it's fast becoming a firm favourite of mine. If you are a regular visitor to My So Kohl'd Life, you'll know how much I love trying new skincare, particularly if it claims to be anti aging and prevent wrinkles, as this does, so I was really excited to try it and see if it would make me look 19 again!

Makeup brush brand of the moment (and my personal favourite), Spectrum Collections kindly send me their 10 piece essential set a couple of weeks ago, so today's post is dedicated to them and their amazingly pretty brushes.

I recently vowed to not add any more fragrances to my collection unless it was my Birthday, Christmas, or I'd been to duty free (you're allowed to treat yourself if you're going on holiday, right?) but fast forward a few weeks and I'm ashamed to say my vow has officially been broken. Having heard great things about 'Lovely' by Sarah Jessica Parker, I had a spritz of it whilst I was in my local Boots store, and fell in love with it's sweet, dusky hues, so couldn't resist handing my card over to the cashier, and leaving the store with my brand new fragrance. The 50ml bottle retails for £35, however it was on special offer and I paid £19.99- another reason why I couldn't resist. Even though this deal has ended, Groupon is currently offering the same size bottle for just £12.98 which is such amazing value, especially for an Eau de Parfum. ETP's have a higher concentration of fragrance oils than Eau de Toilette sprays, which means that they last longer, and are therefore slightly more expensive.
